Supply and demand or price gouging? Coming from a state where hurricanes are a threat for almost half of every year, I know price gouging, this is not it. Price gouging is when you take advantage of a temporary situation where supplies are limited and you increase your prices past the point of fair and reasonable. If I haven’t already mentioned it, I’m a food snob. It’s not that I won’t eat things that are “bad” for you because I certainly do but rather I’m picky about where and what I buy. It doesn’t always make sense. I won’t buy produce from Walmart (can you say Monsanto?) but I’ll drink diet mountain dew knowing full well the vile things that are in it (look up BVO).
