If you don’t already have it, call your insurance company and get windshield coverage. There is no way to avoid this if you plan on driving anywhere. So I went to Wal-Mart today. It was my once a month trip. It was good for a few reasons. First we only spent 15 minutes in line. Hallelujah! Second, the shelves were decently stocked, no weaving our way around pallets today. I found everything I needed and a few things I didn’t. Third, I came in under budget! I spent only 150.00 instead of the 300.00 that I typically do. First, let me say that I did not write the following entry. It was forwarded to me in an email and I laughed all day long. This is the funniest thing I have read in quite some time. If you own a dog and cat you will appreciate this all the more. While I did not write the words, the pictures are my own pets and let me tell you, if they could talk, this is exactly what they would say.
After being here just a short time, a common problem that affects many businesses, is lack of workers. Not lack of jobs like the rest of the country but lack of workers. Our unemployment rate is the lowest in the country (just 7/10th of one percent) yet we need things desperately. Shopping, restaurants, family oriented places and more shopping. I want to write a post regarding every good (and some REALLY BAD) place we have eaten at. Why? It’s simple really, these places are rare. They are gems. Some don’t make it and that’s a shame. They are victims of a town that is odd. Some come here thinking that everything is lined with money and all they need to do is open their doors and people will buy. “Build it and they will come”.
