After being here just a short time, a common problem that affects many businesses, is lack of workers. Not lack of jobs like the rest of the country but lack of workers. Shopping is NOT fun here. I repeat… oh never mind, you get the point. The worst thing for me is that there are no fun places to shop. I’m not a big spender when it comes to just buying superfulous stuff. I like to window shop though and you can’t do that here. Walmart doesn’t count. One of the most difficult things for me to understand is the sheer amount of abandoned animals. I looked around hoping they had a program like they did back home that would allow you to bring in trapped cats and they would spay and neuter them and re-release them. At least it stopped them from having more litters. No such program here. There is currently a litter of kittens living under our home. I just might be crazy. During what must have been a weak moment, I agreed to move, house and home to North Dakota so my husband could realize his dream of finally making what he was worth. To find a job where the paycheck you get at the end of the week could possibly justify the hours you have to spend away from your family.
