Every state has it’s ridiculous news stories. For a long time it seemed as if every one that I came across originated out of Florida. This one comes right from North Dakota. The man, pictured here, applied for a new plate in the state of North Dakota. Although ND is supposed to review all requests for vanity plates, they didn’t catch this one because it was intended to be read in reverse. The plate was issued and the owner made a classic mistake. He bragged about it on social media. I’m not sure what he expected from this. I feel as it this was just a juvenile attempt to get away with something
His photo went viral of course and was shared on Imgur, Reddit, Facebook and other social platforms. I’m not sure what he expected but then again this is why there is a whole industry dedicated to highlighting stupid people because they don’t think. They behave in an immature way and post about it and then cry foul when it turns ugly. Maybe he really is passionate about his topic and wanted to let the world know. Why else would he want to make this part of the public record for every future employer to see? Regardless, he won’t be showing it off on his vehicle.
Rob Port posted on his Say Anything Blog that he confirmed through Jamie Olson, a spokeswoman for the Department of Transportation that the man in question has already been sent a recall letter.
