I’m definitely not your typical 40 something woman. I love politics and I’ll drive across the country on a whim. Adventure is everywhere and life is short. I try not to miss it. For example, I want to have coffee in all fifty states. That’s on my bucket list.
Probably most important, I have a bad habit of thinking out loud and often say what I shouldn’t. What I know for sure is that I’m at least a little ADD, I’m fairly creative, I play video games when I have the time (I’ll beat you at Mario Kart any day) and I am often found to be wearing two different socks (who cares, at least I’m wearing socks). I tend to like unusual things and I have a crude sense of humor (thanks dad). If you fall, I’ll probably laugh at you but I’ll do it while I’m helping you up. Now isn’t that glamorous?
I have moved around A LOT in my adult life and I get bored easily. I have lived on different continents and in many different states. I have experienced much and I have eaten even more. Yes, I like food. I like to look at it, smell it, taste it, photograph it and I probably experiment with it way more than I should. In fact, I’m a bit obsessed.
I’m open minded (at least I like to think I am) but opinionated. I have raised two great children, one a college graduate and the other just finished with high school and is working on finding her own path in life. I am proud of them both.
My latest adventure as you can see is North Dakota. A place that is freezing yet beautiful in the winter and wide open and glorious the rest of the time. There was not a lot of support or information for women in my position when I moved here so I’m doing my best to provide a little now.
